AWS DevSecOps Engineer (Contract - 3 Months, RFQ Dependent)

Chibara Digital is seeking an AWS DevSecOps Engineer for a contract role linked to a potential client engagement. This role will commence upon successful award of the project. The role will focus on designing, implementing, and optimising secure cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring scalable, reliable, and secure environments while supporting development teams with efficient deployment processes. This is a contract-based role and will only commence upon successful project award.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Build and manage AWS cloud infrastructure (Infrastructure as Code where possible)
- Implement and enforce security best practices across infrastructure and applications
- Monitor systems, logs, and performance to ensure reliability and uptime
- Automate deployments, scaling, and environment provisioning
- Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment workflows
- Conduct security checks, vulnerability scanning, and remediation
- Maintain clear documentation for infrastructure and deployment processes
What we are looking for
- AWS Certification
- Strong experience with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins or similar)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation or similar)
- Solid understanding of DevSecOps principles and cloud security best practices
- Experience with containerisation (Docker) and optionally Kubernetes
- Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python or similar)
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and deliver within tight timelines
