Junior Digital Operations Assistant
Johannesburg / Remote Hybrid/3 Month Contract
Chibara Digital is looking for a junior all-rounder who can help move multiple client and internal projects forward. The role will involve a mix of graphic design, website updates, basic development tasks, content preparation, admin support, research, testing, and project coordination. You do not need to be an expert in everything, but you must be willing to learn quickly, take initiative, solve problems, and produce work that is polished enough to be shared with clients. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of tasks, communicate clearly, and reduce the operational load on the team.
Responsibilities
- Create and edit basic graphics, social media posts, presentations, and marketing material
- Assist with website updates, content uploads, testing, and basic frontend changes
- Support internal and client projects with admin, research, documentation, and task tracking
- Prepare client-ready documents, reports, proposals, and content drafts
- Help manage project files, assets, checklists, and operational workflows
- Test websites, forms, links, and digital tools to ensure everything works correctly
- Use tools such as Canva, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, CMS platforms, and AI tools to complete tasks efficiently
- Take initiative in identifying small improvements that help projects move forward
What we are looking for
- Some experience or strong interest in graphic design, web development, digital marketing, or business administration
- Comfortable using tools like Canva, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Microsoft Office, and online project tools
- Basic understanding of websites, social media content, branding, and digital platforms
- Ability to write clearly and prepare professional, client-ready work
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions carefully
- Self-starter who can work independently after initial guidance
- Willingness to learn new tools, systems, and technical concepts quickly
- Reliable, organised, and able to manage multiple small tasks across different projects
- Bonus: basic HTML, CSS, WordPress, Webflow, Sanity, Next.js, or social media management experience
